Tree Bench Woodworking Plan

Decorate your favorite tree with this octagon shaped bench. Easy to follow pattern is available in two sizes. Use our 38" Tall X 80" Wide version for smaller trees or use the 38" Tall X 93" Wide for slightly larger trees.

24" Dia. Tree: Approx. 38" tall x 80" wide
36" Dia. Tree: Approx. 38" tall x 93" wide

Wood:
For the best look, use a weather-resistant wood such as cedar or redwood. If you prefer you may use a lower cost #2 grade pine.

24" Dia. Bench:
Two 2X10 x 10' long boards
Six 2X4 x 10' long boards
Two 1X4 x 10' long boards
Twelve 1X6 x 10" long boards

36" Dia. Bench- Additional Wood Required:
One 2X4 X 10' board
One 1X4 X 10' board
Four 1X6 X 10' boards

Table Saw

#YFKIT9 (Package of 300 #8 x 2-1/2" long screws)

Sealer:
High-grade, non-yellowing, semi-gloss, uv protected project sealer (#polyqt) for exterior use. Please note a sealer would be optional when using the weather resistant woods.
